A.League has swallowed the spirit of liberation war: Mirza Fakhrul
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has commented that Awami League has unknowingly swallowed the spirit of liberation war. He said that they (A.League) have covered the entire country in corruption by using torture as a tool to suppress the opposition and dissent.
The general secretary of the party said these things at a press conference after a joint meeting at the party's central office in Nayapaltan on Saturday (January 14).
Stating that the Judiciary is not able to work independently, the BNP Secretary General said that there has been partyization in all areas. So we want to establish a democratic Bangladesh by fulfilling the 10-point demand. The people of the country have woken up, joining the simultaneous movement to topple this unelected government.

BNP Secretary General demanded the unconditional release of all imprisoned activists from the press conference. At the same time, he announced a 10-day program on the occasion of the birth anniversary of BNP founder Ziaur Rahman on January 19.
