The expatriates' graves were not even buried
The body of Afshar Mia (41) is coming in the coffin. Grieving relatives filled the house to see the body of their loved one for the last time. The funeral schedule was announced in the mosque. Graves are also dug in the cemetery for burial and coffins are prepared to take the body to the grave. But Afshar Mia's body did not come in a coffin to the family and relatives for whom such mournful arrangements were made. After the body was taken down from the freezing van, there was a problem, the body of a stranger came in the coffin. As a result, there was no funeral and burial.
Such an incident happened in Damodharatpi village of East Pagla union of Shantiganj upazila of Sunamganj district. Afshar Mia died of liver cancer on February 28 at the Souteri Hospital in Athens, Greece. He is the elder son of late Jamsid Ali of this village.
Afshar Mia died at the Sutori Hospital in Athens, Greece, accompanied by her brother Mohammad Emran Mia. Four days after the death, he also returned to the country after completing all the procedures to bring the body to the country.
At the address where Afshar Mia's body was given, the body carrying the body also arrived at the address on Friday (March 10) at 3:30 pm. Relatives burst into tears after receiving the body. But after taking down the body from the freezing van, there was a problem.
This body is not Afshar Mia. Another body named Jalal Mia (52) arrived. whose house is in Shilonpur village of Tongibari upazila of Munshiganj district. He is the son of father Shafiq Uddin. He was also from Greece. His body was supposed to arrive in the country on March 13.
But due to the fact that Afshar Mia's name sticker was put on Jalal Mia's coffin by mistake, the address date got changed. Afshar Mia's body is still in Athens, Greece. Jalal Mia's body is expected to reach the country on March 13, her family members said.
Afshar Mia's nephew Tofail Ahmad said, I went to Dhaka airport on March 10 to receive the body of my great uncle. After completing all the procedures there, I left for home and reached home at 3:30 in the night. In the meantime, Mike was told when the funeral prayer will be.
Graveyards are dug from dawn. At 10 in the morning when the body was taken down from the hearse and the coffin was opened, it was found that the body was not that of my uncle. Then inform the police. The police came to know about the news - the body belongs to Munshiganj's Tongibari. His name is Jalal Mia.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shantiganj Police Station Khaled Chowdhury said that the body of the person who was supposed to arrive in the coffin did not arrive. After much effort, I found out the address of late Jalal Uddin. The body will be handed over to the proper authorities after completing the legal process. Jalal's body was sent from Sunamganj to Dhaka Airport. His relatives have been asked by the police to go there with necessary documents.
Meanwhile, the body of Afchar Mia of Damodharatapy village is expected to arrive in the country on March 13. This happened due to mistake.
