Accused Sukkur Ali was hanged in Kashimpur Jail

A convict named Sukkur (39) was executed by hanging in Kashimpur High Security Central Jail in Gazipur. The execution was carried out at 10:01 pm on Sunday (January 22) .

Shukkur is the son of Khair Uddin of Lalnagar village in Daulatpur police station of Kushtia district. His prisoner number in jail is 3980/A.

There was a case against her under the Women and Child Abuse Prevention Act at Daulatpur police station in Kushtia. In that case, she was sentenced to death by the verdict of the Kushtia Women and Child Abuse Prevention Tribunal, Kushtia. Later on August 16, 2018, he was brought to Kashimpur High Security Central Jail. On December 19, the dear court sentenced him to death, and the accused appealed to the President for life.

But as the President rejected the application for the life of the accused, after all the legal procedures, the execution was carried out at 10:01 PM on Sunday as per the Jail Code.

Senior Superintendent Subrata Kumar Bala said, during the execution of Gazipur Civil Surgeon Dr. Khairuzzaman, Additional District Magistrate of Gazipur. Humayun Kabir was present.

After the execution, the body was handed over to the relatives.
