6 worshipers died in Vishwa Ijtema
3 more worshipers died due to old age from Friday night to Saturday (January 14) noon at Tongir Biswa Ijtema in Gazipur. So far, a total of six devotees have died in the first two days.
Four more worshipers died from Friday night to Saturday (January 14) morning. Before this, two others died. Six worshipers died in this year's Ijtema.
Maulana Mohammad Shaker, head of the Ijtema Death and Burial Committee, said that Mofazzal Hossain (72) of Malamlia village in Khulna and Abdur Razzak (75) of Raujan Sadar in Chittagong died at around 9 pm on Friday. Later on Saturday morning, Akkas Ali (50) of Jatrabari, Dhaka and Habibur Rahman (70) of Machimpur village of Manohardi police station, Narsingdi died around 7 am.
All deceased died of old age. The bodies were handed over to the family after the funeral at 8 am on Saturday.
Earlier, two worshipers named Abu Tayyab and Nurul Haque died on Thursday, the day before the start of Ijtema.
