459 thousands of Bangladeshi properties in Dubai: High Court orders search
According to the news published in a daily newspaper last Tuesday, the EU Tax Observatory said based on the analysis of data collected by the US-based Center for Advanced Defense Studies.
The High Court has ordered an inquiry into the land and houses of 459 Bangladeshis in Dubai. Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU), Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), CID and National Board of Revenue (NBR) have been informed to investigate. The progress report of the investigation has been informed to be submitted to the court within a month.

Besides, the High Court has issued a ruling seeking to know why no action will be taken against those who have bought assets in Dubai through money laundering. After the preliminary hearing of a writ petition, the High Court bench of Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Khizir Hayat issued the rule on Sunday.
