After the ban, the RAB reform has seen tremendous progress
Assistant Secretary of the United States Department of State, Donald Lu, who is visiting Dhaka, said that there has been an unprecedented improvement in RAB reform after the ban. The number of extrajudicial killings has come down unexpectedly.
He said these things after a formal meeting with Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday (January 15) afternoon.
Donal Lu said, I have come to strengthen the friendship between the two countries. If there is a problem somewhere in the relationship, I will advise as a friend. Regarding GSP, he said, it will be considered by the US Congress.
At this time, the Minister of Foreign Affairs. AK Abdul Momen said that there was a detailed discussion on various issues of relations.

The foreign minister said that the government of Bangladesh also wants fair and free elections. The current government has never come to power at the barrel of a gun, it has always come to power by ballot.
Earlier in the morning, Donald Lu had a courtesy meeting with Prime Minister's Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F. Rahman.
He entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at around 11:30 PM. He is scheduled to visit the Foreign Service Academy after a meeting with Foreign Secretary Masoud Bin Monem.
Donald Lu is scheduled to leave Dhaka at 2 pm today.

US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Donald Lu arrived in Dhaka on Saturday evening on a two-day visit. He was welcomed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by Naeem Uddin Ahmed, Director General of the US Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Peter D Haas, US Ambassador to Dhaka. He met Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen on Saturday night after leaving the airport.
