The 2nd phase of Ijtema is starting on Friday

Gazipur, January 19, 2023 (BSS): The second phase of Biswa Ijtema on the banks of the Turag River in Tongir is starting on Friday, January 20, after Fajr Aam Bayan.

 All preparations for the Ijtema ground have already been completed. Worshipers from home and abroad have started coming to Maidan from Thursday to participate in the second phase of Ijtema. It is said that the Ijtema Committee is expecting a large number of worshipers to gather in the 2nd phase as in the 1st phase. The World Ijtema of 2023 will end with the last prayer on January 22 next Sunday.

Going to the Ijtema Maidan on Thursday, it is seen that people reach the Ijtema in any way they can, on foot, in trucks, with pickup cars. The pilgrims have taken up their essential belongings in their respective districts.
Muhammad Sayem, media coordinator of Tablighi Jamaat, a follower of Maulana Saad, said that devout Muslims of Tabligh Jamaat from almost all Muslim countries of the world participated in the Ijtema. Here they listened to the discourses of leading scholars and went out in congregation to spread the message of Islam to the world.
He said, 85 Najmer Jamaat from all the districts of the state have already come to Maidan. Around 20,000 comrades of the two Jamaats, including Prati Khitar Jamaat and Central Jamaat, are staying at Maidan. They have been talked about since morning on various issues of Maidan.

In this regard, GMP Police Commissioner Molya Nazrul Islam said that the second phase of World Ijtema is starting tomorrow, Friday, January 20. Like the 1st phase, the law and order forces will be in a critical position in the second phase as well. Millions of people will come to Ijtema. Our job is to ensure safety at any cost.
Md. Salim Mia from Comilla district said, I have come to the Ijtema Maidan to please Almighty Allah. In the Maidan, besides listening to the speeches of the leading teachers of the World Tablighi Jamaat, I will be engaged in Namaz, Tasbih-Tahlil, Zikir-Asghar and Nafal Ibadah.

An anonymous worshiper from Malaysia said, We are very happy to come to Tongir Ijtema Maidan after two years. We love Bangladesh. Love Tongir World Ijtema. Congratulations to the Government of Bangladesh for helping with this arrangement.
On the last prayer day to bring and pick up foreign passengers to the airport, i.e. January 22, under the management of the Traffic Uttara Division, a large microbus Padma Uloop, 2 minibus Nikunj-1 at the gate of the residential area and a large microbus Kuratali Loop-2 will be deployed from 4 am for this free transport service. . The traffic department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police has sought the full cooperation of the religious citizens to maintain order and avoid traffic jams on the occasion of Vishwa Ijtema.
