A meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) was held on Tuesday (January 17) at the NEC conference room in the capital's Sherebangla Nagar. In the ECNEC meeting, approval was given for the second revision of the tunnel construction project under the Karnaphuli river. Apart from this, 11 projects including Udal road were approved in Mithamin of Kishoreganj district. The cost of the projects was estimated at 10 thousand 683 crores. The cost of the road construction project from Mithamin upazila Sadar of Kishoreganj district to Machikhali of Karimganj upazila has been estimated at 5 thousand 651 crore 13 lakh taka.

Out of this 7 thousand 827 crore 50 lakh taka will be spent from government funds and 2 thousand 880 crore 18 lakh taka from foreign aid.
