IMF will continue to support Bangladesh on the road to prosperity
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) will continue to support Bangladesh's transition to a developed, prosperous and high-income country by 2041.
IMF Deputy Managing Director Monsieur Sayeh gave this assurance during a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganabhaban on Monday (January 16).
He said that Bangladesh aspires to become a developed, prosperous and high-income country by 2041 and the IMF will continue its support to Bangladesh to realize this.

Moncio also said that the IMF has been Bangladesh's development partner for a long time and he has come to further strengthen this relationship.
At that time, the Prime Minister said that Bangladesh does not want any kind of cooperation for bail-out, rather Bangladesh has asked for cooperation as a preliminary preparation.
The Prime Minister also said that we do not want any kind of bail-out. Our program is not a bail-out.
