Hero Alam's appeal to EC dismissed, appeal to High Court
The Election Commission (EC) has rejected the appeal filed by Ashraful Hossain alias Hero Alam to regain his candidature in Bogra-4 (Kahalu-Nandigram) and Bogra-6 (Sadar) constituencies.
The Election Commission (EC) has rejected the appeal filed by Ashraful Hossain alias Hero Alam to regain his candidature in Bogra-4 (Kahalu-Nandigram) and Bogra-6 (Sadar) constituencies. On Sunday (January 15) afternoon, the decision to cancel the nomination papers of Hero Alam was upheld in Agargaon of the capital.

First of all, a hearing was held on the appeal against cancellation of Hero Alam's nomination in the Election Commission last Thursday. Hero Alam appeared after the election and took part in the hearing. Kazi Rezaul Hossain of the Supreme Court argued on his behalf regarding the return of the candidature. Meanwhile, Hero Alam is opposed to the decision to cancel the nomination papers. He said he will appeal the noble counsel.

In this regard, Hero Alam said, many people have started to worry about my selection. Many are afraid of my popularity. Due to this conspiracy, my nomination paper was dropped from the Returning Officer's office. Finally, I appealed to the Election Commission. The Election Commission has filed an appeal there as well. These injustices are being done against me. He said thus, respecting the law, accepting the necessary steps to appeal to the High Court against this injustice.
In this regard, Bogra District Senior Election Officer Mahmud Hasan said that the Election Commission has filed the application of Ashraful Hossain alias Hero Alam to regain his candidature in two seats.
