Hajti died in Dhaka Central Jail
On Tuesday (February 7) at 8 a.m., he was brought to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College (DMH) hospital, and the doctor on duty declared him dead after examination.

Jewel Talukder, the prison guard who brought Abu Saeed to Dhaka Medical said, he fell ill in the prison in the morning. Later he was taken to Dhaka Medical Center and declared dead after medical examination.
He also said, I cannot say whether Abu Saeed was in jail as a suspect in the case.
Confirming the matter, DMK Hospital police camp inspector Bachchu Mia said that the body has been kept in the hospital's emergency department morgue. The post-mortem will be conducted after the Surathal report in the presence of an Executive Magistrate.
