Higher secondary pass rate falls to 85.95%

1 lakh 76 thousand 282 candidates got GPA five this time for HSC and equivalent. Last time this number was 1 lakh 89 thousand 169. This means that 12 thousand 887 students got GPA five less this time.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina officially released the HSC and equivalent results at Chameli Hall of the Prime Minister's Office on Wednesday at 11:46 am.
Earlier, Education Minister Dipu Moni handed over the copy of the exam results to the Prime Minister after 11:30 PM. Later the chairmen of 9 general education boards, technical and madrasa boards handed over the results.
Education Minister Dipu Moni gave the details of the results in a press conference at the International Mother Language Institute auditorium in the afternoon. At that time, he was accompanied by Deputy Minister of Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury, Senior Secretary of Technical and Madrasa Education Department Kamal Hossain, Secretary of Secondary and Higher Education Department Soleiman Khan.
The minister said that the pass rate in 9 sections in HSC is 84.31 percent. Under the Madrasah Board, the rate is 92.56 percent. On the other hand, the technical education board pass rate is 94.41 percent.
In 2022, 12 lakh 3 thousand 407 candidates participated in HSC and equivalent exams in 11 education boards. Among them, students are 6 lakh 22 thousand 796. The number of female students is 5 lakh 80 thousand 611.
