Even though BNP is considered a competitor, they think of us as our enemy: Bridges Minister Quader

Awami League General Secretary and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said, we wanted BNP to compete as a political opponent from the beginning. They have always considered us as enemies.

He said these things in the speech of the president of a joint meeting at the central office of Awami League at 23 Bangabandhu Avenue on Friday (February 10) morning.

Quader said, they (BNP) have been coming to the field openly for a year, especially since December, they have said a lot of big things. We are holding a peace rally due to fear of terrorism. As long as the BNP does the movement, we will hold a peace rally. They did it in Nayapaltan, we did it in Uttara, on December 10 they did it in the capital, we did it in Savar.

The bridge minister said that our party is preparing for the election. When we give a program, some media say BNP. BNP says the opposite. We are not doing a counter program.

Obaidul Quader said, Awami League does not have any counter program with BNP. We want competition, not rivalry. It can be said from old experience that BNP is reigning in terror.
