Elon Musk's space company SpaceX has completed testing of a new powerful rocket engine suitable for missions to the Moon and Mars. The boosters, originally fitted with rocket engines, will be used to launch SpaceX's largest rocket, the Starship. If all goes well, the Starship will take part in an orbital test flight next month.
The test lasts a few seconds. Meanwhile the rocket was stationary.
As the test results are satisfactory, the Starship will participate in the orbital test flight next month. In a report, the British media BBC reported this information.
When it first launches, Starship will be the most powerful operational rocket system in history.
Elon Musk said on Twitter that just before the start of the test, an engine stopped. Later another engine also shut down on its own. So 31 engines fired (thrust generated) in total. This energy is enough to reach orbital.

A video showed giant plumes of orange flames erupting from the base of the booster and clouds of smoke billowing into the air during the test. During the test the 69 m (230 ft) booster was anchored to the ground so that it could not fly.
Ahead of the test, SpaceX President and Chief Operating Officer Gwen Shotwell said at a press conference in Washington DC on Wednesday (February 8) that if the test is successful, the first orbital launch could be later (in March). And this is really the ultimate ground test.
Elon has high hopes for this spacecraft. The entrepreneur wants to use it to send satellites and humans into Earth orbit.
He spoke of efforts to send an entire Starship rocket into orbit in late February or March.
