There are 1700 criminals on the New York police list. The police are working to suppress them. These criminals turn around and carry out terrible criminal activities in the city of New York. The NYPD is doing a commendable job in suppressing them. But city mayor Eric Adams said loopholes in the law kept them back on the streets.

He said, gun violence has started to decrease in the city. Albany will continue to be pressured to reform its criminal justice system. He commented that the Neighborhood Safety Team is playing an important role in recovering and removing weapons from the streets.
In his State of the City address, Mayor Eric Adams announced a program of career building and college visits for 35,000 middle school students next summer. One of its targets is to create summer jobs for middle and high school students. He also announced the doubling of tech programs at the college level. In this, every college student will earn a bachelor's degree with technology related knowledge. The mayor has given special importance to nurse education.
He said, there is a huge shortage of nurses in the city. Cunei will play a supporting role in this regard. According to him, the city administration considers the year 2023 as pillars of jobs, security, housing and health care. Working population is the current agenda of the city. This was his second speech after being elected mayor.
He warned against traffic violence and said that 2023 will be a tough time for reckless drivers. A massive campaign will be launched to stop their irresponsible driving.
