Tornado kills 3 in USA, state of emergency declared

Three people were killed and at least 24 injured when two powerful tornadoes hit Arkansas in the United States on Friday. The New York Times reported, citing local officials, that the tornado uprooted trees; Houses were damaged.

The second tornado touched down in the Wayne area about 100 miles east of Little Rock. Two people were killed in the storm, which began around 6 p.m., Arkansas Emergency Manager Rebeccah Magnus said.
Meanwhile, a state of emergency has been declared for parts of Little Rock, as well as parts of nearby Sherwood and Jacksonville.
A website called PowerOutage.US reported that 80,000 people were without power in Arkansas as of Friday night due to the storm.
