'Prime Minister is working towards building a smart and developed country'
State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working to build a smart and developed Bangladesh.
He said this at a seminar at the newly constructed head office of Bangladesh Land Port Authority (BLPA) at Agargaon in Dhaka on Tuesday (April 4).
Khalid Mahmud said, we are lucky. Because, we got smart leadership like Bangabandhu. Because of his leadership we got independent sovereign Bangladesh. In continuation of Bangabandhu, his daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working for the development of the country.
He said, once there was no land port service, there was smuggling in the border areas. Now these misdeeds have stopped. Infrastructure has increased in ports. The new land port is going to be inaugurated. All these things are possible because of Sheikh Hasina's smart decision and leadership. He directed the land port authorities to move forward by facing all kinds of challenges and obstacles.
The Minister of State for Shipping said that Sheikh Hasina brought the country from darkness to light after Awami League came to power in 1996 after killing Bangabandhu. Now the entire Bangladesh has become digital. The Prime Minister is working towards building a smart and developed Bangladesh.
