President went to Singapore for health checkup
President Md. Abdul Hamid left Dhaka for Singapore this afternoon for his health check-up. At 4:50 PM, a VVIP Bangladesh Airlines aircraft carrying the President took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
During the eight-day visit, the head of state is scheduled to undergo a health check-up at Mount Elizabeth Hospital and eye treatment at the Singapore National Eye Centre.
Liberation War Affairs Minister Akam Mozammel Haque, Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen, Dean of Diplomatic Corps, Cabinet Secretary, Chiefs of the three forces and concerned senior civil and military officials saw him off at the airport.
Abdul Hamid is accompanied by President's wife Rashida Khanum and related officials of Banga Bhavan. According to the program, the President is scheduled to return home on April 5.
