Dhaka Additional Assistant Judge and Family Court Judge Durdana Rahman will announce the verdict on Sunday (29 January).

- Before this, on January 15, the two Japanese children and their mother presented their statements.
- It should be noted that Bangladeshi engineer Imran Sharif got married to Japanese doctor Nakano Eriko in 2008. Erico filed for divorce in early 2020 due to marital discord. After that, Imran moved to Bangladesh with his two eldest school-going daughters. The younger daughter stayed with Eriko in Japan.

Amidst all this, Imran moved to Bangladesh with his two daughters on February 21, 2021. A few days later, the Tokyo court ruled in Eriko's favor. Later on July 18, Erico came to Bangladesh via Sri Lanka. Later he appealed to the High Court.
