Agar Mondal, a trader at the wholesale Kaptan market, told Dhaka Post that eggs are coming less from the farm. The supply of eggs is low, due to which the price has gone up.

Mentioning that we can provide eggs at a low price to the consumers if we bring them at a low price, he said, "We are not able to bring them at a low price from the farmers, after the increase in the price of chicken feed, the transportation fare has increased. As a result, farmers have to sell eggs at a higher price.

Farmers say that the price of chicken feed and medicine has increased. Because of this, the cost of production has also increased. As a result, many people are reducing chickens to reduce costs. This has reduced the supply of eggs compared to the demand.

They also say that the poultry sector is now on the brink of ruin due to the rise in food prices. If our industry is destroyed we will have to buy eggs at higher prices.

President of Bangladesh Egg Producers Association Taher Ahmed Siddiqui said that the price of eggs was stable last month. Now a cycle is once again trying to destabilize the egg market. This cycle should be stopped by regular monitoring.
