Torture in EB: 5 students expelled, provost ordered to withdraw by High Court

The students who received the expulsion order
The students who received the expulsion order are Sanjida Chowdhury Antara (Statistics Department, Session: 2017-2018), Halima Akhter Urmi (Fine Arts Department, Session: 2020-2021), Israt Jahan Mim (Law Department, Session: 2020-2021), Tabassum Islam ( Finance and Banking Department, Session: 2020-2021) and Muawiya Jahan (Finance and Banking Department, Session: 2020-2021). They have been asked to stay outside the campus.
Earlier, on Tuesday (February 28), Justice JBM Hasan and Justice Raziq Al Jalil submitted the report to the High Court bench and set the day for the order on Wednesday. The judicial investigation report was also published on this day.

The court order also said that the victim Phulpari should be allotted a seat within three days. In addition to ensuring his safety, the safety of the witnesses in this incident must be ensured.

In this incident, on February 15, the university branch of the Chhatra League formed a four-member investigation committee. The committee was asked to report within five working days. The investigation report of Chhatra League on Tuesday also found the truth of Phulpari's torture.
