The Prime Minister said these things while attending the National Textile Day program from Ganobhaban on Tuesday (February 14). In the event organized at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre, the Prime Minister inaugurated six textile educational institutes in different districts established by the Ministry of Textiles and Jute.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that the garment sector of the country is moving forward despite the global adversities due to the right decision of the government, and said, 'This sector is playing a special role in creating employment. The government has taken all kinds of initiatives to keep the industrial sector functioning despite the corona virus and war.

For this, the government has taken various initiatives for the development of this sector. The government is trying to ensure that no factory is closed.
Highlighting various plans taken by the government for the development of the garment sector, Sheikh Hasina said, "Due to the initiative of the government, it has been possible to bring back the lost muslin. " Efforts are being made to bring it within the affordability of common people through research. '

The Prime Minister said, 'The garment sector is playing a special role in creating employment for women. He urged the garment factories to produce new products and find new markets. The head of government also urged the entrepreneurs of this sector to reduce their dependence on foreign countries.

Sheikh Hasina said that her government is working to improve the working environment of garment factories. The environment of garment factories in Bangladesh is better than that of many developed countries and workers have more freedom.

Minister of State for Labor and Employment Begum Mannujan Sufian spoke as a special guest on the occasion under the chairmanship of Textiles and Jute Minister Golam Dastgir Gazi. Textile and Jute Ministry Secretary Abdur Rauf gave a welcome speech on the occasion.
