He said these things while addressing the chief guest at a function organized on the occasion of National Insurance Day on Wednesday (March 1). The event was jointly organized by the Financial Institutions Department of the Finance Ministry and the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA) at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the capital.
Describing herself as a member of the insurance company family, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that she does not want this sector to get a bad name for any reason. For this reason, the Prime Minister has called upon all concerned with the insurance sector to be careful.
The Prime Minister said, 'We are working for the overall development of this sector. This sector is also being brought under digital. I think insurance companies are benefiting from digitization in many cases. '

The prime minister directed the concerned not to settle the insurance claim of huge amount without properly investigating the amount of loss. He ordered to settle the insurance claim by assessing the actual loss without bowing down to the pressure of any minister-MP or big bureaucrat. The Prime Minister said, Bangabandhu had already understood that the Pakistanis would not accept the victory of the Bengalis, so he had prepared for the struggle as well as continuing the discussion. Bangabandhu declared independence in his March 7 speech.
He said that those who have run the country after 75 have set the country back by doing various misdeeds including terrorism, militancy and bomb attacks, but Awami League has taken the country forward after coming to power after 21 years.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered to ensure that no road transport runs without insurance. Sheikh Hasina expressed her surprise as to how the third party insurance is going on even after stopping it.
The Prime Minister presented awards to the top executives of National Life Insurance, Popular Life Insurance, Sonar Bangla and Green Delta for their significant contribution in meeting insurance claims in life insurance and general insurance categories.
