The third and fourth dose of corona vaccine has been suspended

On Wednesday (March 1), the Additional Director General (Administration) of the Department of Health Professor Dr. Ahmedul Kabir said this in a press release. The Department of Health said that the third and fourth doses of the corona vaccine are being stopped for the time being to prevent the corona virus.

Ahmadul Kabir said that about 96 percent of the first and second doses of the corona virus given to us for corona have been vaccinated. We have given about 15 crore first dose, 14 crore 2nd, 3rd or booster dose about 7 crore, 4th or 2nd booster dose 31 lakh 48 thousand 988.

He said, we applied to Kovacs for booster vaccination. We are currently out of stock of boosters. So the fourth dose will be withheld for a few days.

In response to a question from journalists, Professor Dr. Ahmedul Kabir said, we have given the demand for vaccination before the vaccination is over. They give this vaccine for free so I will get the vaccine only when they give Kovacs. Due to procedural reasons there is some delay in getting the vaccine. We expect booster doses of vaccines to reach us within two to three weeks.
