On March 25, the greatest achievement of Bengal and Bengalis, the greatest epic of a thousand years of history, was written, which is called Bangladesh. Every day of this month is memorable, a source of inspiration and strength to the Bengali nation.

March 1, 1971 was a Monday. At 1:05 PM, President Yahya Khan in a radio address announced the suspension of the session of the National Assembly convened in Dhaka on March 3. With the announcement of the cancellation of the session without handing over power to the majority Awami League party leader Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the people of East Pakistan at that time burst into anger and rage. Deprived, abused, disenfranchised people erupted in protest.

On this day, in the meeting of the Awami League Parliamentary Party in Hotel Purvani, the work of drafting the 6-point system of governance was going on. The angry people gathered in front of Hotel Purvani and chanted slogans in front of the adjourned National Assembly session. Then Bangabandhu came in front of the hotel and urged everyone to continue the movement peacefully.

On this day, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman called a press conference and held a meeting at Hotel Purvani in Dhaka. He announced the initial program of the non-cooperation movement in the press conference and said that the hartal will be held till March 6 from 6 am to 2 pm and will announce the next program on March 7 at the historical race course ground.

Air traffic in Dhaka was stopped on this day. Employees of Dhaka Airport and PI's Motijheel office spontaneously left the office. As a result, flights from Dhaka airport to various routes of the province and international routes did not operate.

Meanwhile, at night, President and Chief Martial Law Administrator General AM Yahia Khan, military governor of B region, Lt. General Sahebzada appointed M. Ayakub Khan as the Civil Governor of the province. Late at night, the Military Administrator of Zone 'B' issued a new order directing the newspapers not to publish any news or pictures against the integrity and sovereignty of the country.

On March 7, 1971, during this historic speech delivered at Suhrawardy Udyan, the former Race Course Maidan, the crowd roared. Millions of voices echoed the same voice from one end of the country to the other. Even Yahya's masnad trembled. He was afraid to protect the mattress. But a strange madness spread among the people of the whole country including the capital. A nation eager for freedom prepares for the war of freedom.

The fire that was burning for language on February 1, 1952, spread everywhere. Then the United Front elections, the Education Movement of 1962, the Six Points of 1966 and the 1971 March brought a new message to the lives of Bengalis. On the night of March 25, the Pakistanis started a massacre of Bengalis under the name of 'Operation Searchlight' to silence the Bengali voice forever. Bangabandhu was arrested by Pakistani soldiers from his home. What follows is the history of resistance. But before that, Bangabandhu announced the journey of a new map development. And in that wise speech, the youth of the country jumped against the enemy only by loving the country.

At the call of Bangabandhu, forts were built from house to house. After 9 months of bloody armed war, the nation gained independence by winning on 16 December. A red country appears on the world map. whose name is Bangladesh.
