The formalities of the first phase of Vishwa Ijtema are over

The last prayer of the 1st phase of the World Ijtema was held to seek forgiveness from the Almighty Allah and seek peace and unity of the Muslim Ummah. Sunday (January 15) the last prayer started at 10 am.

Prayers continued till 10:20 am. Maulana Zubair, the leading cleric of Tablighi Jamaat, led the last prayer.  
The ceremony of the first phase of Biswa Ijtema ended with the last prayer. Several lakhs of followers of Maulana Zubair from home and abroad participated in this episode.

In the final prayer, the entire Ijtema ground and surrounding areas are chanted Amin Amin. Gathered on the banks of Turag in Tongir, teary-eyed worshipers prayed for peace and prosperity of the nation and the Muslim Ummah. In and around the Ijtema Maidan, the worshipers raised their hands in the court of Allah and asked for forgiveness from the Lord.  

All over the world Muslims who have gone astray are asked to follow the right path and to be engaged in the work of Tabligh. Millions of devotees of the country and abroad cry to God for divine and heavenly help. Millions of voices uttered Rahmanur Raheem, the excellence of Allah, Amin Amin.  

Over the past few days, the Tabligh Jamaat worshipers have stood at the Ijtema Maidan in Konkan on the banks of Turag in Tongi, defying the cold and fog. Thousands of worshipers from neighboring districts including Dhaka-Gazipur came to the Ijtema site on foot to participate in the last prayer. Not finding a place in the Maidan, they participated in the final prayer by taking positions in the nearby alleys, Dhaka-Mymensingh highway, foot over bridges, houses, factories, markets and vehicle roofs and on boats in the Turag river.  

Various offices and courts including educational institutions, mills and factories were declared closed for the last prayer.  

Like every year, the World Ijtema took place on the Turag shore of Tongir, Gazipur. Lakhs of worshipers gathered in Prithivi Ijtema organized by Tabligh Jamaat. Here the leading teachers of Tabligh Jamaat from home and abroad speak on Akhlaq, Iman and Amal.
