The death of a teenager hit the wall in the capital
A teenager named Shahadat Hossain (17) was killed after breaking the wall of a factory in the capital's Matuail.
The accident happened around 10 pm on Monday (April 10) at the cemetery area of Matuail.
Ripon, the elder brother of the deceased Shahadat Hossain, said that at night they were loading cartoons in a pickup van near the Matuail cemetery. At this time the wall collapsed on Shahdat. He was immediately taken to the hospital where the doctor declared him dead.
Ripon complained that there were already large cracks in the walls. The wall was propped up with bamboo poles. Had they repaired it earlier this accident would not have happened.
The deceased Shahadat Hossain is the son of Sanaullah of Lalmohan Upazila of Bhola. He used to live with his family in Gopi Bagh II Lane Gali of the capital.
Confirming the matter, DMK police outpost in-charge Bachchu Mia said that a teenager injured in a wall collapse in Matuail was brought to the hospital and the doctor declared him dead. The body has been kept at the morgue for post-mortem. The matter has been reported to Jatrabari police station.
