Two buses caught fire in Ashulia after the death of a motorcyclist
A motorcycle rider named Mehedi Hasan (22) was killed by a bus in Ashulia while overtaking two buses. In this incident, the angry crowd set fire to two buses named Alinur Paribahan. On receiving information, two units of Jirabo Fire Service of Ashulia reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
The incident took place in front of the Jirabo Bengal Plastic factory on Bypail-Abdullahpur road in Ashulia around 7 am on Sunday (April 2).
It is said that the name of the deceased motorcycle rider was Mehdi Hasan, who worked as an electrician in Ashulia's Ghosh Bagh area.
Locals said that two buses of Alinur Paribahan were going from Dhaka towards Abdullahpur. The two buses were pushing each other and trying to overtake. At this time, the motorcycle rider hit Mehdi with a bus.
He was killed on the spot. Later, the agitated crowd set fire to the two buses. On receiving information, two units of Jirabo Fire Service reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
Deputy Inspector (SI) of Ashulia police station. Masud said that the body of the dead youth has been recovered. At the same time, two buses have also been removed from the road.
