The country's heat wave may increase further
Heat wave is sweeping over most districts of the country, which is expected to intensify. The Meteorological Office has given such a forecast on Wednesday (April 12).
Meteorologist Md. Manowar Hossain said that the low pressure area is located in West Bengal and adjoining areas. Seasonal normal low pressure is located over South Bay of Bengal.
The weather is likely to remain dry across the country with temporary partly cloudy skies till Thursday (April 13) evening.
Mild to moderate heat flow over Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and may continue.
Day temperatures may rise slightly across the country and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged. Dhaka will have maximum wind speed of 8-12 km/h from west/south-west direction.
The temperature may increase further in the next two days. The weather may change slightly during the extended five days.
The highest temperature in the country was recorded at Chuadanga on Wednesday at 39.7 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature of Dhaka is 38.9 degrees Celsius.
