The bail of Mirza Fakhrul-Abbas was upheld in the Appellate Division

A four-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Hasan Faiz Siddiqui gave this order on Sunday after settling the state's appeal.
Senior lawyer Advocate Zainul Abedin heard on behalf of BNP leaders in the court. Senior lawyer AJ Mohammad Ali, Barrister Mahbub Uddin Khokon, Barrister Kaiser Kamal, Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kajal, Advocate Kamrul Islam Sajal, Advocate Sagir Hossain Leone were present.

Attorney General A. M. Amin Uddin heard for the state. Additional Attorney General SM Munir, Sheikh Mohammad Morshed, Mehdi Hasan Chowdhury and Deputy Attorney General Sarwar Hossain Bappi were with him.
First, on January 3, the High Court granted bail to both of them for 6 months. After that, the state applied to the application department to block their bail. Then on the morning of January 4, the state applied for the suspension of the bail given by the High Court to Mirza Fakhrul and Mirza Abbas.
Earlier, the lower court judges rejected the bail application of Fakhrul and Abbas a total of four times. Later they appealed to the High Court.

On December 7, leaders and workers of the party clashed with the police in front of the central office of BNP in Nayapaltan of the capital. One person was killed and half a hundred people, including the police, were injured. After the clash, the police raided the BNP office. The day after the incident, the police registered four separate cases in Paltan, Motijheel, Ramna and Shahjahanpur police stations. 2 thousand 975 leaders and workers were made in it. 725 people have been mentioned in them. However, the names of Mirza Fakhrul and Mirza Abbas were not there.
The DB police picked up Fakhrul and Abbas from their respective homes in the late night of December 8. (db). The two were initially taken to the DB office on Minto Road in the capital. The next day they were arrested in the case of Paltan Upazila and sent to jail through the court.
