Cox's Bazar's 'Bangabandhu Utsav' begins
A seven-day long 'Bangabandhu Festival' has started at Ramu in Cox's Bazar with the aim of presenting the life-history of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Liberation War and Bangladesh from generation to generation.

Today (Sunday) afternoon at Ramu Stadium 'Bangabandhu Utsav' was inaugurated by Bangabandhu's trusted companion, Jai Bangla Bahini 17th Chief, veteran Awami League leader Kamal Hossain Chowdhury as the chief guest of the event.
Bangabandhu
- Apart from hundreds of students from various schools, leaders and activists of Awami League and allied organizations participated in the Bangabandhu festival inauguration ceremony. Bangabandhu's pictures and words have been decorated in the fair grounds around the festival. Traders have put up stalls of various kinds of goods. At night, local artists performed music on the cultural program on the festival stage. The fair will be open daily from morning to midnight. Discussion and cultural programs will be held in the evening. This event will continue till February 4.

On the occasion of the 102nd birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, 102 brave freedom fighters and Bangabandhu devotees were present as guests at the inaugural function of 'Bangabandhu Utsav'. The program started with the hoisting of the national flag.
Saimum Sarwar Kamal MP, Member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Information, presided over the Bangabandhu festival. Ramur Bangabandhu festival is celebrated as one of the biggest festivals in the country. In it, discussions on Bangabandhu's biography and liberation war, biographical plays on Bangabandhu's life and events of liberation war, poetry readings, songs of liberation struggle are being held.
