It is known that Minister Nav Kishore Das was shot four to five times in the chest. The teenager was admitted to a nearby hospital with serious injuries after being shot.

Eyewitnesses claimed that Health Minister Nav Kishore Das was shot as he got out of his car. The motive of the attack is still unclear.
According to the media, the condition of the minister is critical. He will be operated today. Originally the accused police officer was on duty at Gandhi Chowk post. He went to the party office to get the news of the minister's arrival. As soon as the minister got out of the car, he fired several rounds from his service revolver.
Meanwhile, a high-level investigation has already been ordered by the Odisha government after this incident. The Indian press is also investigating why there was such a big lapse in the health minister's security.
