No one raised any questions about the six by-elections: PM

Commenting on the recent six by-elections, Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that the six by-elections have proved that the Election Commission has the ability to conduct completely independent and impartial elections even when the Awami League is in government.

The parliament leader said these things in the closing speech of the 21st session of the 11th National Parliament on Thursday (February 9) night.

The Prime Minister said, has a single person in Bangladesh been able to raise any questions about this election? could not But there are some people, they always have to say the opposite.

Sheikh Hasina said these things in the closing speech of the 21st session of the 11th National Parliament on Thursday. Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury presided over the session. Parliament leader Sheikh Hasina also said that those who want to come to power through an unelected government, I will tell them, do politics, go to the people. He took the people's vote and came to power. No objection. It is a fact that people will come to power for whom they will vote.

Pointing out that the Awami League government has guaranteed the right to vote, the Prime Minister said, "We have proved that elections are free and fair." You have seen the mayoral election of Rangpur. Awami League candidate has been defeated, we accept it. Six MPs who won the by-elections spoke here. This by-election has proved that free and fair elections were held during the Awami League period.

The head of the government said that some people are saying that if there is an unelected government for two or three years, what is the harm? Will the Mahabharata become impure? What kind of talk is this? We believe in democracy. The government will be elected by the people, for which we have to endure our struggle, sacrifice, imprisonment and torture. Today, the progress of the country is visible to the people because there is continuous democracy.

The Prime Minister said that the fact that this election has been transparent, free and impartial, does it not prove that the Election Commission has the ability to hold elections in a completely independent and impartial manner? The government did not interfere there, do not do, do not do.

A bill was passed after being raised on the question-and-answer table as per Thursday's agenda. After that, the members of Parliament who won the by-election held on February 1 gave a welcome speech on the occasion of joining the session on the first day.
