Metrorail will run from dawn to midnight in July

The 11.73 km Udal Metrorail from Uttara to Agargaon station has started running in Dhaka with general passengers. From last December 29, Metrorail is running from 8 am to 12 pm, 4 hours a day. Then on January 25, Pallavi station of Metrorail was opened.

In the meantime, the running time of the country's first metro rail has been changed from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. However, due to the difference between the metro rail running time and the office time, the desired passengers are still not meeting.

He gave this information to reporters at the DMTCL office in Iskaton in the capital on Thursday (February 9).

Metrorail running time

He also said that if the metro rail is fully operational from Uttara to Kamalapur, it will be able to transport 60,000 passengers per hour and 500,000 passengers per day. Basically, the metro rail will be constructed from Uttara to Motijheel in the capital. For this, the Metrorail project was accepted in July 2012. Its initial implementation period was till June 2024. However, the period was later extended. But before that, a part of the metro rail was inaugurated on December 28.
