Death in road accident in Hatirjheel of the capital: 1

A person named Amir Hossain (30) was killed in a road accident in Hatirjheel of the capital. The accident happened near the Rampura Bridge yesterday morning.

SI Anath Mitra of Hatirjheel police station said that Amir Hossain was seriously injured after being hit by an unidentified vehicle. He fell injured near Rampura Bridge. He was rescued and taken to Dhaka Medical College (Dhamek) hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead around 6 am.

• Police Station Deputy Inspector (SI) Saidur Rahman said that the young man lost control of the motorcycle on the road adjacent to the public toilet in the area between Hatirjheel Police Plaza and Badda. Then the local pedestrians rescued him and took him to Dhaka Medical. He died there. The body has been kept in the morgue.

Meanwhile, Israk's younger brother Iftekhar Hossain said that their house is in Wari. His father has a business in Becharam Deuri of Old Dhaka. Israk looked after that institution. He was the middle of three brothers. Israk was returning to his home by riding a motorcycle from a friend's house in Niketan last night. On the way, he himself lost control of the motorcycle and got into an accident
