Matching advance train tickets without server complications
The advance sale of train tickets for the Eid journey is going on for the third day. Tickets for April 19 are on sale on Sunday. Meanwhile, passengers are buying advance train tickets online without bothering the server.
On Saturday (April 8) due to server problems, commuters had to struggle to collect tickets. Many could not access the 'Railseva' apps. Many people are stuck for a long time after clicking on the ticket booking option even if they can enter, the ticket purchase is not possible even after selecting the next step. In the meantime, the desired tickets are sold out. On Sunday, the railway authorities said that this complication has been largely resolved.
In a Facebook group of 150,000 railway passengers called 'Bangladesh Railway Helpline', passengers said that they could buy tickets from Sunday morning without server complications. But as usual there is a lot of pressure on North Bengal tickets. By 9:30 AM, almost all train tickets in North Bengal have been sold out. They also demanded additional trains in North Bengal.
Today (Sunday), the railway authority has said that this complication is over. Additional Director General (ADG) of Bangladesh Railways Sardar Shahadat Ali told Dhaka Post, Saturday's problem has been overcome a lot. We have found that there is no server issue today. It is natural that many passengers will not get tickets as the number of passengers for the Eid trip is several times higher than the allocation.
Railway officials said that at least 10 lakh visitors can access the apps every minute. Besides, tickets can be sold for 8 thousand per minute. But the pressure of ticket aspirants was much higher on Saturday. At least 1.35 lakh visitors are entering at a time, and that is why the complexity is created.
Tickets for April 20 will be sold tomorrow (Monday) and tickets for April 21 will be sold on Tuesday (April 11). According to railway sources, 25 thousand 778 tickets will be sold daily in trains this Eid.
Railway officials also say that the demand for tickets on the first two days is always relatively low. People clamor more for last two day tickets. Now the tickets for the last two days may be sold online in a few minutes.
