Chapainawabganj-3 Member of Parliament Harunur Rashid will resign from the post of Member of Parliament on Thursday (December 22).

He is scheduled to submit his resignation letter to the Speaker of the National Assembly at 11 am.

Shamsuddin Didar, a member of BNP Chairperson's media wing, said that Member of Parliament Harunur Rashid, who was elected from Chapainawabganj-3 Constituency, submitted his resignation to the Speaker of Parliament at 11:00 am.

Before this, on December 11, 6 members of parliament of BNP resigned. Meanwhile, the Election Commission (EC) has also announced the dates of by-elections in 5 other than the reserved women's seats.

The 6 members of Parliament who resigned are: Chapainawabganj-2 Constituency Md. Aminul Islam, Abdus Sattar of Brahmanbaria-2 seat, Md. of Bogra-4 seat. Mosharraf Hossain, Bogra-6 Golam Mohammad Siraj, Thakurgaon-3 Zahidur Rahman. Rumin Farhana is a Member of Parliament for the reserved women's seat.
