The mother left the 6-month-old baby in the arms of the beggar and ran away

In Lakshmipur, his mother ran away leaving a 6-month-old baby boy in the lap of a beggar. The incident took place in front of Modern Hospital in Majupur area of Lakshmipur municipality around 2 pm on Wednesday (March 1). After receiving the information, the police rescued the child from the spot. Meanwhile, the police also talked to the people around.

Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Lubna Farzana rescued the child after receiving information from the local people. Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Admitted to Upazila Health Complex through Bulbul Ahmed.

At present, the child is under the care of Rahima Begum, a relative of a patient in the women's ward on the second floor there. Senior nurse Mumtaz Begum said that after bringing the baby here, he was fed milk and he is healthy.
Councilor Jasim Uddin Mahmud said the incident is very sad. Leaving the innocent child in the beggar's lap, the mother ran away and did not return even after 2 hours. No one in the vicinity said that they did not know the woman.

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Lakshmipur City Police Outpost Abdul Wadud said, the child has been rescued. Talked to people around the hospital to identify him. But no one could provide any information. The child is currently in our custody. Efforts are on to trace the child's relatives.
