Lalmonirhat road accident killed 3 including Pir-Murid

3 people including Pir-Murid were killed in a separate road accident in Lalmonirhat's Hatibandha. The accident took place on Tuesday night at the Saniajan Dakhil Madrasa intersection of that upazila and the Ramniganj coconut floor area of the same road.

Police said

• Three people including motorcycle rider Fazlul Haque Pir Saheb (65) and his murid Nazrul Islam (50) were seriously injured after 10 o'clock on Tuesday night at the Saniajan Dakhil Madrasa intersection of Barakhata-Tista barrage road of that upazila.

They were rescued and taken to Rangpur Medical College Hospital. Two people died while undergoing treatment there. The deceased is the son of Fazlul Haque Pir Saheb's house in Rajivpur area of Kurigram and Murid Nazrul Islam is the son of Soleman Ali of his own Sheikh Sundar area of Saniajan Union. Nazrul Islam's son Rifat was also seriously injured in that incident.
Earlier in the morning, a bank official named Abdul Latif (47) was killed when a truck ran over him in the coconut floor area of the same road.
