On January 25, BNP rallies in cities and districts across the country
Calling Bakshal Day as 'Democracy Killing Day', BNP has announced the program of gatherings in cities and districts on January 25. BNP has announced a new program of simultaneous movement. The party will hold rallies in all cities and districts of the country on January 25.
Dr. Khandkar Mosharraf Hossain, a member of the party's standing committee, announced this program in a protest rally organized in front of the Nayapaltan BNP central office on Monday (January 16).
Dhaka Metropolitan BNP organized this rally to demand 10 points and reduction in electricity prices. Mosharraf Hossain said, Bakshal was established on January 24, 1975 by banning all parties.
Democracy was killed that day by establishing Bakshal. Therefore, BNP will hold a rally program on January 25 at metropolitan and district levels across the country to demand the resignation of the current government, dissolution of parliament, elections under the caretaker government, release of all royal prisoners including Khaleda Zia and 10-point demands.
Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP convenor Amanullah Aman also spoke in the meeting, standing committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Nazrul Islam Khan, Ameer Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury and others spoke at the meeting.
