The Election Commission (EC) has issued two guidelines for journalists in the upcoming Rangpur City Corporation (ROSIC) elections. No more than two journalists can enter the polling booth in this election. No one can stay in the polling booth for more than 10 minutes.

EC's Joint Secretary (Director-Public Relations) SM Asaduzzaman gave this information on Saturday (December 24). One of the 13 directives issued by the Election Commission (EC) to media persons wishing to collect news of the Rangpur City Corporation (RASIK) elections has been amended.

Journalists cannot stay in the polling station for more than 10 minutes, it has been reported that they cannot stay in the polling booth for more than 10 minutes by bringing an amendment to the previous instructions. In addition, other instructions remain in place.

It should be noted that there are 270 candidates in the Rasik election. In this case, nine candidates are contesting for the post of mayor, 192 people for the post of general councilor and 69 candidates for the post of reserved councilor.

In the election, 2 lakh 12 thousand 302 male and 2 lakh 14 thousand 167 female voters will have the opportunity to exercise their voting rights in 229 centers.

The election campaign has already started, which will continue till 12:30 midnight on December 25.

And polling will take place on December 27 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
