After a month, Fakhrul-Abbas was released from prison
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and party standing committee member Mirza Abbas were released on bail after a long month of imprisonment. This information is known from who sources.
Earlier on Monday, the judicial Munsikhana of Dhaka CMM Court received the bail order given by the High Court. Then their lawyer submitted the bail. Later in the afternoon these two BNP leaders were released from jail.
Their lawyer Syed Zainul Abedin said that the High Court granted 6 months bail to Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Mirza Abbas on January 3. At the same time, the court also issued a ruling asking why permanent bail will not be granted.

The lawyer said that the next day (January 4th) the state applied to the appeals department to block the bail of these two BNP leaders. The chamber court fixed Sunday (January 8) for the hearing of that application. On this day, their bail was upheld in the full bench hearing of the Appellate Division. He said that previously the lower court judges rejected the bail application of Mirza Fakhrul and Mirza Abbas four times. Later an application was made to the High Court on their behalf.
Incidentally, on December 7 of last year, BNP leaders and activists clashed with the police in front of the central office of BNP in Nayapaltan. One BNP supporter was killed and half a hundred injured, including a policeman.
After the clash, the police raided the BNP office at night. The next day, police registered four separate cases in Paltan, Motijheel, Ramna and Shahjahanpur police stations. 2 thousand 975 activists were accused in this. 725 people have been mentioned in them. Although the names of Mirza Fakhrul and Mirza Abbas were not there.

Fakhrul and Abbas were picked up from their respective residences late at night on December 8 and taken first to the DB office. The next day, they were arrested in Paltan police station case and sent to jail through the court. Since then they both remained in jail. Today they got bail.
