Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced to arm Israelis after the attack in Jerusalem.

According to reports, Netanyahu wants to hand over guns to Israeli citizens to "protect" them. He also promised to intensify efforts to procure illegal weapons to speed up the move. The Prime Minister announced that the houses of the suspects in the two attacks in Israel will also be destroyed. However, before that they will be sealed. The Jewish leader claimed that the decision was being taken to "extort additional costs from those who support terrorism".

Netanyahu on Saturday (Jan 29) promised to allow Israeli citizens to own guns or weapons and to step up efforts to collect illegal weapons.

He also said that houses of suspected attackers who support terrorism will also be sealed immediately before demolition. Even social security benefits for the families of the attackers will be cancelled. Netanyahu is reported to have pledged to strengthen illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank.
