Mirza Fakhrul said, 'The statement given by the US Embassy yesterday (Tuesday) is enough. It wants to use this media to force a message in front of the people that the US has changed its position. They will lift the ban and the ruling department of Bangladesh wants to hold elections in a democratic manner.
Fakhrul said, 'Awami League government has lied in the past too. What a shame, the US Assistant Secretary of State did it as soon as he left and the US Embassy protested.'
Fakhrul said, 'We are not happy with the ban, it is shameful for us. Sanctions should come against the state. The people have imposed sanctions against the government.
During the press conference, Mirza Fakhrul strongly criticized the announcement of Awami League's program during the program of BNP. He said, "Awami League will have to take the responsibility if any situation arises if the program is given on the same day."
Speaking about the decision of the Standing Committee meeting, the Secretary General of BNP said, "It is said that technology has been purchased from an Israeli company to monitor mobile phone and internet communication. It is said that news has been published in the media of the country and abroad, which raised concerns in the gathering."

Mirza Fakhrul said, "The unelected government is going to enact laws to purchase technology and keep the opposition party leaders and workers under surveillance in order to perpetuate the power." These terrible restrictive laws and the undemocratic behavior of the law enforcement forces are helping to take away the democratic authority and constitutional rights of the people.'
Mirza Fakhrul complained that the digital security provisions are being misused and said that in the meeting 1 thousand 209 cases were filed in the last four years. The session feels that the arrest and detention of dissidents, journalists, leaders and activists of opposition teams by this extremely repressive law is a serious attack on the democratic and constitutional rights of the people and violation of human rights. The abuse of this rule against innocent people is taking away the freedom of the media. He demanded the immediate release of those imprisoned under this law and repeal of the Modern Security Act.
