The US military's Central Command claimed a drone attack on a military base of the US-led coalition in southern Syria. Al Jazeera, a Qatar-based media outlet, reported that the attack took place on Friday. Two soldiers were injured. No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.

On Friday, the press reported on a statement from the US Central Command Centcom that three drone attacks were carried out in a row on a military base of the US-led coalition. Two of the drones were shot down, but the third hit the base. Two soldiers were injured in this. Meanwhile, Washington strongly condemned the attack.
CENTCOM spokesman Joe Buccino said such attacks are unacceptable. Such an attack would undermine the stability and security of Syria, putting coalition forces and civilians at risk. and jeopardizes the fight against ISIL. However, Joe Buccino did not comment on who did it.

Notably, the US coalition established the base in 2016 to train Syrian fighters for the war against the militant group ISIL. Earlier, there was a rocket attack on the base in November last year as well.
