A US Navy SEAL commando has been killed in combat in eastern Ukraine
A member of the US Navy's commando unit Navy SEALs has been killed on the battlefield in eastern Ukraine. His name is Daniel Swift. The US Navy confirmed the news. However, the deceased Daniel was a member of the Navy SEALs who escaped.

Swift, who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan, died on January 18, the Washington Post reported. According to CBC News, an official of the US Navy, Daniel was seriously injured while fighting against Russian forces.
Meanwhile, the US State Department said in a statement, "We can confirm that one US citizen has been killed in action in Ukraine." However, Swift was not named in the statement.
"We are in constant contact with the family of the deceased and are providing all possible consular assistance," the statement said. We cannot say more than this at this difficult time to protect the honor of the victim's family."

Daniel Swift is a citizen of the US state of Oregon. He joined the US Navy in 2005 and served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He received the medal for allegedly participating in the war against terrorism. He has been absent from the US Army without leave since March 2019.
