Dhaka's Karail slum fire

Fire service said that the fire in Dhaka's Karail slum came under control within half an hour.

A fire broke out in the Beltala part of this densely populated slum around 4:30 pm on Sunday. At that time, the smoke of the fire could be seen from far away.

Nine units of the fire service were sent there one by one after receiving the information about the fire. Later, it was reported from the control room that the fire was brought under control around 5:30 pm.

Fire Service Duty Officer Khaleda Yasmin told bdnews24.com that the fire in Beltala slum has come under control. A message has been sent that there is no danger of the fire spreading further.

So far there is no information about casualties in this fire, he said, how many houses were burnt or how the fire started will be reported later.
