BNP leaders and activists were beaten, offices vandalized in Patharghata

In Barguna's Patharghata, BNP leaders and activists were beaten and vandalized offices were found. Patharghata Municipal BNP convenor Harun Or Rashid said that on Saturday at 11 o'clock in front of the BNP office adjacent to the police station, the Chhatra League and Jubo League leaders and activists committed the incident. The injured have been admitted to Patharghata Hospital.

The seriously injured are Municipal BNP convener Md. Harun Or Rashid, member secretary Khairul Sharif, joint convener Masum Billah. Hadid, Hafez Alamgir, Mizanur Rahman, Abbas Uddin and many others.

Haroon Or Rashid said that BNP union level march program is being held across the country on Saturday. In continuation of this, at 10 o'clock in the afternoon, the leaders and workers of BNP came to the party office. At 10:30 PM Patharghata Chhatra League and Jubo League workers entered the BNP office and attacked them suddenly. The office furniture was vandalized.

Municipal BNP joint convener Masum Billah said that the police of Patharghata police station had conducted a search operation last night to arrest the leaders and activists of the upazila BNP organization in connection with today's program. He strongly condemned today's attack on BNP office and beating of activists.

Ahmed Shahzada, president of Patharghata Municipal Chhatra League, said that today we have protested against our leader and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for insulting her in the program of BNP. We have clashed with them. But he claimed that there was no fight.

Ahmed Sujan, general secretary of Patharghata Upazila Chhatra League, said about the complaints, we hold a peace rally at the party office as per the central decision of Awami League. Meanwhile, I came to know that bad comments were made about the Prime Minister in the party office of BNP. We went there to find out why.

However, regarding the vandalism of the party office, Patharghata Municipal Jubo League President Mohammad Nasir Akon said, BNP is trying to blame us by vandalizing their own office due to party conflict.
