Bangladesh has sent 11 tons of relief goods to help the victims in Syria after Turkey was devastated by the earthquake.

On Friday (February 10) at 10:30 pm, a cargo plane of Biman Bahini left Dhaka with these relief materials.

Bangladesh Air Force Group Captain Jamil Uddin Ahmed is leading this mission.

Assistant Chief of Air Force Air Vice Marshal AHM Fazlul Haque was present at the time.

He said, under the supervision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 17 members of the Biman Bahini are taking this assistance with the required number of medicines, tents, blankets and dry food. They are expected to reach Syria on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Bangladeshi rescue team has started work to rescue those trapped in the collapsed buildings in the city of Adiaman in Turkey. Army members and fire service personnel are conducting operations with the challenge of hostile weather.

Bangladeshi rescue workers are trying hard to find survivors from the devastation. This team of 46 members consisting of fire service and army is currently camping and playing an active role in rescue work in Adiaman city.

The death toll in Turkey and Syria has exceeded 22,000 in the terrible earthquake. Among them, 18 thousand 991 people in Turkey and 3 thousand 337 people in Syria.

Al Jazeera confirmed the information on Friday (February 10) about the officials of both countries.
