Bangladesh's score dropped by 1 point from 26 to 25. A step down as a corrupt country.
This information has emerged in the 'Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI)' published by this Berlin-based anti-corruption organization.
The issue was presented at a press conference of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) at Midas Center in Dhanmondi on Tuesday (January 31) at 11 am.

This year, the position of Bangladesh is 12 from the bottom and 147 from the top in the index. This time Bangladesh achieved 25 out of 100 scores. Among the 8 countries of South Asia, this time again Bangladesh's position and score is embarrassingly second lowest after Afghanistan as usual. This time Afghanistan's score increased from 16 to 24. Whereas Bangladesh's score is varying between 25 and 28."

Earlier, according to the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI)-2021, Bangladesh's score was 26. In the list of the most corrupt countries in the world, Bangladesh moved up one step from the 12th position to the 13th position. And the position of Bangladesh from the top in the list was 147th. However, Bangladesh has not made any progress in this corruption index or score. It had the same score as the previous year. The score has remained the same for four years.
